Mystery over Leeds man’s death in Sicily

A 35-year-old man from Leeds has been found dead in Italy.
Benjamin John Braithwaite was discovered near Noto in Sicily at around 3am on Sunday.
Italian police say a rope was found nearby. Injuries, including possible marks to the neck, are still being investigated. Officers are also looking at whether drugs or other substances were involved.
A drawing with unusual markings was found on a nearby wall, but police have ruled out any link to rituals. It was not close to where he was found.
He had been camping in the area for a few days.
An autopsy is planned for 22 September. There are no suspects at this stage.
The Foreign Office is supporting his family.
