Teen girl fighting for lifel after being found injured in Wakefield

A 16-year-old girl is still in a critical condition in hospital this morning. She was found lying in the road near a bus stop on Rooks Nest Road at about 8.33pm yesterday.

Ambulance crews attended and she was taken to hospital with serious head and chest injuries.

Enquiries are continuing into how she came to suffer the injuries.

Rooks Nest Road remains closed. Drivers are being asked to use other routes where they can.
