The rules
- £5 goes to the first person to tell Yapp about an incident. We work out who was first from the time, the location and the type of incident, and you are told straight away.
- Your £5 is added when a newsroom licenses pictures or video of that incident from Yapp. If nobody buys footage, there is no credit.
- If your own pictures or video are bought, you are paid for those as well as the £5.
- Choose cash or Yapp Pro subscription credit. You can change your choice any time before it is paid.
- Tips must be real and something you have seen. Fake or copied tips lose all credits and the account.
- Your location helps us check you were there. Tips without a location are checked by hand.
- Free to join. Anyone with a free Yapp account can earn. Every credit is checked by Yapp before it is paid.
- Stay safe. Call 999 first if anyone is in danger, never get in the way of the emergency services, and never film from a moving vehicle.
